In Cincinnati you are Not allowed to celebrate Halloween in School since there are so many religions. Like SLC there is a church on every corner, they are just all different churches. So needless to say we have a Fall harvest party, rather then a Halloween Party, with no costumes, no jack-o-lanterns but plenty of scarecrows. I put a video together of each of the parties, I tried to include a lot of pictures so you could see what the classrooms are like.

Hurricane winds and the CJ Jeep
Do you remember when Hurricane Ike hit? Well those winds came through Cincinnati at 74 mph while we were at church, but luckily for us our great neighbors took care of us once again! They grabbed our hose and wrapped it around the soft top which was blowing away and luckily for us we had a few spare 37 inch tires lying around for them to throw on top :) Since I am sending you pick of the jeep I decided to let you see all the amazing work Dave did on this thing. We are getting ready to sell her so if you know of anyone looking, let us know:(
Summer 2008
I found a few pictures of the kids over the summer and wanted you to see what they do in their spare time. They like to lay around sun bathing, mow the lawn (the mower is not on just in case you were wondering), and run through the sprinklers. The women with Halie and Tina in Reina, Tina's mom and they are sitting on the dunk tank that they ordered for Tina's birthday party.
Bathroom Remodel
So, we tackled a bathroom remodeling project one Saturday afternoon (4pm) when I was irritated we had gotten nothing done again on our only "workday off". Dave's suggestion, "let's go tear up the bathroom", I happily agreed. The bathroom that was supposed to take two weekends to complete ended up taking months, of course! What project in our life actually takes two weekends? Notice the lovely carpet on the bathroom floor well, that went up the bathtub wall as well. I also loved (not) the original cabinets that we refinished from the beige paint to a warm pine color. Notice the build-ups Dave made for all the doors and windows, as for the rest well it speaks for itself. In the end it was all worth it when you see Dave's amazing work. As you can see from the pictures he had plenty of help:) If any of you did not know Dave as a child... Take a look at the pic's there he is, except this time his name is Diesel.

There is a first for everything!
This is officially the first time I have ever Blogged. I have started this to keep in touch with my family and because believe it or not, my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints highly recommended it.
Tarzan and Jane!
VISIT FROM FAMILY
So, to start this blog off, my sister Katelyn just came to visit us from Utah. We had such a great time. We went to one of the parks close to our house and found a vine that hung down about a hundred feet from the top of a tree. We, Halie, Diesel, Dave, Katelyn and I decided to swing like Tarzan and Jane from the vine. It was so much fun we came back the next day for more!
